OILS OR ACRYLICS:
canvas, masonite or other lightweight panels, 8x10 or 9x12” panel carrier for oil painters
Wet panel carrier for oil painters
Portable easel and pallete (paint mixing surface)
brushes
thinner and oil or gel-free medium for oil painters, with suitable jars, water jar for acrylic painters
paper towel
shop towel is great, cut into 4 squares per sheet.
a sketchbook and pencil, eraser
water, sunscreen, bugspray, lunch and snacks
painting umbrella if desired
Painting (medical) gloves if you use them
smock, apron or painting clothes
SUGGESTED PALETTE:
cool yellow such as hansa, OR azo, OR lemon
warm yellow - cadmium yellow medium
quinacridone red OR cadmium red and alizarin crimson
ultramarine blue
manganese OR ceruleun blue
titanium white
useful “extra” but less necessary colors, burnt umber, yellow ochre, viridian
